Is it obligatory to make up for missed prayers and fasting, after committing to the law of Allah at the age of twenty, due to growing up in a communist environment that prevented the practice of worship?

All praise is due to Allah for delivering you from the communist rule that oppressed Muslims and sought to erase their identity. Now that this rule has vanished, Muslims rejoice in the return of their rituals. A generation grew up under this rule knowing nothing about Islam. Those who were unable to acquire religious knowledge or learn the rulings are not obligated to make up missed acts of worship, for Allah Almighty says: (Allah does not burden a soul beyond its capacity). Obligation is conditioned upon ability and knowledge. These individuals are advised to learn the Islamic rulings and gain a deeper understanding of the religion to raise a Muslim generation.
