Is a husband entitled to prevent his wife from traveling with him because she refuses to stay overnight at his parents' house, and requests to reside in an independent home, or to have a separate room with a bathroom allocated to her, or to leave her with her family? The husband is not obliged to take his wife with him on trips, and he has the right to refuse. However, she has the right that he should not be absent from her for more than six months without her consent.

The wife is not obliged to live with her husband's family during his absence, unless she has an independent dwelling within their house, for she has the right to an independent dwelling.

A husband deserting his wife for this reason is reprehensible, for desertion only occurs when the wife is disobedient.

It is preferable for the wife to accompany her husband when he travels, or for him to leave her with her family, and both spouses should exercise wisdom and prudence in solving problems.
