What is the ruling on someone who changed his statements before the police and denied uttering abusive language, which he had said, intending to confess later to avoid a "Ghamus" oath?

A Muslim is one from whose tongue and hand other Muslims are safe. Cursing a Muslim is فسوق (disobedience/sinfulness) unless it is a response in kind without excess. Patience and forgiveness are better, as Allah Almighty says: {And if you punish [an enemy], punish with an equivalent of that with which you were harmed. But if you are patient - it is better for those who are patient.} The believer who mixes with people and endures their harm has a greater reward. As for lying to conceal indecent speech, it is deception and is not permissible unless it is to ward off pure injustice, and it is permissible only to the extent of necessity. Lying is not forbidden in itself but due to its harm, and it is permissible if injustice cannot be repelled except by it. However, one must be cautious about it and use allusions (معاريض) whenever possible. Furthermore, studying in a co-educational university is not permissible except in cases of extreme necessity and with conditions.
