Is it correct to apply the prescribed punishment of execution for sodomy to a person who practiced it in childhood and continued after puberty, then repented? And must she apply the punishment to herself? And is she required to repeat the prayers she performed without ablution after this act?

Lesbianism (the indecency of a woman with a woman) is a major sin that requires repentance by abandoning it and concealing oneself, without informing anyone about it. There is no specific prescribed punishment for it like for adultery and sodomy, but the ruler may impose a discretionary punishment (ta'zir) on the perpetrator. Whoever is guided to abstain from it must conceal herself, increase repentance and seeking forgiveness, and do good deeds. Ta'zir is exclusively for the ruler. As for repeating prayers, if semen was discharged and ghusl (ritual bath) was not performed, then all prayers performed in a state of janabah (ritual impurity) must be repeated, because prayer is not valid before the state of janabah is lifted.
