How do we reconcile the Almighty’s saying: "He is not questioned about what He does, while they are questioned," with the angels’ saying: "Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?"

The angels' question to their Lord in Surat Al-Baqarah was a question for guidance and seeking knowledge, not an objection or stubbornness, and Allah permitted them to ask. It was also said that they asked out of wonder or awe at what Allah had informed them about the corruption of the vicegerent's descendants. As for His Almighty saying: (He is not questioned about what He does, but they will be questioned), it means that Allah disposes of His creation as He wills and is not to be questioned about His actions, for He is the All-Wise who makes no mistakes. As for His servants, they will be questioned in accordance with their servitude and their being commanded to obey Allah. In summary, Allah is questioned with a question of seeking or guidance, not a question of objection to His actions, and the angels' question was from the perspective of seeking guidance.
