Is it forbidden to listen to songs during the week of the Prophet's birth (Mawlid), and are there any Shariah-compliant guidelines if it is permissible?

If the songs are accompanied by musical instruments, they are unlawful (haram), and it is impermissible to listen to them. And the newborn's celebration week is a reprehensible innovation (bid'ah munkarah) that must be avoided.
