Is it permissible to take out a loan from a bank to purchase a medical device necessary for diagnosing patients in a remote village where such devices are unavailable?

It is not permissible to borrow from usurious banks with interest, because it is usury (riba), which is forbidden by Islamic law. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed the one who consumes usury, the one who gives it, the one who records it, and its two witnesses. This is only permissible in cases of extreme necessity that cannot be averted except by it.
