What is the ruling on interpreting dreams and sending them to interpretation websites on the Internet or television programs?

It is permissible for someone who knows how to interpret dreams to do so, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) and Abu Bakr interpreted them in his presence. However, it is not permissible for an ignorant person to do so, based on the saying of Imam Malik: "No one should interpret a dream except he who is skilled in it. If he sees good, he should convey it. If he sees otherwise, he should say something good or remain silent." There is no harm in seeking an interpretation from someone skilled in interpreting, whether directly by asking or through means of communication.
