Is shortening the sides of the hair while leaving the middle for the purpose of beautification considered an imitation of the foolish?

It was clarified in previous fatwas that cutting hair in certain ways does not fall under the prohibited Qaza‘ (shaving parts of the head and leaving others), unless it involves imitation of disbelievers or transgressors. The criterion for prohibited imitation was explained in other fatwas.
