Does the debtor still owe his friend, who lent him money and whose hand he broke during a fight between them after demanding the money, knowing that the debtor cannot face the friend or his family? And is someone who merely exchanges greetings and shakes hands with a friend he fought with, without engaging in conversation, considered among those who are estranged, whom Allah has excluded from His mercy on the night of the 15th of Sha'ban and on Mondays and Thursdays, even if there is no longer any benefit in reconciliation or friendship between them?

You must return the money to the first friend or seek his forgiveness for it, and ask for his pardon for the delay in fulfilling his right, and repent to Allah for the injustice. You should also ask for his forgiveness for the hitting and breaking of his hands, and satisfy him according to Islamic law. There is no need to fear facing him, and mediators can be brought in between them. As for the second friend, you should ask for his forgiveness. It is impermissible for Muslims to shun each other for more than three nights, except in legally stipulated cases. To end the shunning, it suffices to offer and return the greeting of peace.
