Is the questioner considered to be among those in dispute mentioned in the Hadith: "When the middle of Sha'ban arrives, Allah looks upon His servants and forgives them, except for a polytheist or one in dispute," due to a dispute that occurred at work which led to him leaving, and he lives with them in the same accommodation and avoids greeting them for fear of renewed problems?

What happened is considered animosity that leads to estrangement and turning away from one another, which is forbidden by religious law. Therefore, a Muslim should deal with their colleagues in the best possible manner, greet them, and forgive them, for that brings affection, honor, and dignity. Allah Almighty said: "Nor can goodness and evil be equal. Repel (evil) with what is better: then will he between whom and thee was hatred become as it were thy friend and intimate!" It is not permissible for a Muslim to shun their brother for more than three nights, and the better of the two is he who initiates the greeting. Animosity and hatred are reasons for deprivation of forgiveness.
