What is the ruling on following news of actors, actresses, and immoral people – especially disbelievers – merely for entertainment, without imitating them or being influenced by them?

"Art and acting" are considered among the most dangerous cultural aspects facing societies. They are a source of deviant Western culture, a promoter of forbidden relationships and lusts, a corruptor of morals, a squanderer of youth's energies, and a narcotic that lulls the Ummah away from work and leadership. Following films, series, and news of actors distracts people from the remembrance of Allah and fills their hearts with love for disobedient individuals, leading to distress and anxiety. The Holy Quran has prohibited such things.

The Permanent Committee for Fatwa has issued a statement prohibiting the publication, sale, and purchase of these magazines due to their containing nude pictures, vulgar statements, romantic stories, and an invitation to immorality. It emphasizes the necessity of lowering the gaze and urges rulers to prevent their publication and protect society from their evils, as they destroy values and religion and spread indecency.
