Is the room designated for prayer in the company building considered a mosque or a musalla, and what are the differences, rulings, and conditions related to each?

Linguistically, a masjid (mosque) is a house of prayer and a place of prostration. Technically, it refers to houses built for the purpose of praying to Allah within them. Conventionally, it is known as a place prepared for the five daily prayers. A room designated for prayer in a particular company is considered a musalla (prayer room) and is not called a masjid, nor do all the rulings pertaining to a masjid apply to it.
