A child is a trust given to their parents, who are responsible for raising them upon the Islamic creed, as Allah Almighty says: "O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire" [Quran 66:6], and as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "All of you are shepherds, and all of you are responsible for your flock." Religion is paramount, and the quality of education, a child's culture, or their appearance cannot compensate for the loss of religion. Parents can address these matters through other efforts.
