Is it from the Sunnah for the mourning period to last three days, with the last day being called "Yawm al-Tuloo’" (the Day of Ascent/Departure)?

The majority of jurists are of the opinion that offering condolences is commendable for three days, based on the hadith of mourning (ihdad): "It is not lawful for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to mourn for a deceased person for more than three days, except for her husband, for whom she mourns four months and ten days." They disliked offering condolences after three days, except for an absent person, because the purpose of condolences is to bring solace to the afflicted, and usually their heart finds peace after three days, so grief should not be renewed. However, if the one offering or receiving condolences was absent, there is no harm in offering them whenever they meet, because condolences carry other meanings, such as supplication, which is permissible at all times.
