The answer

It should be clarified that everything that befalls a servant is by divine decree, out of God's wisdom and mercy, and that God is more merciful to us and more knowledgeable of what benefits us. Fortunate is he who meets destiny with contentment, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, the greatest reward comes with the greatest trial. And indeed, when Allah loves a people, He afflicts them. So, whoever is content, will have contentment, and whoever is displeased, will have displeasure." If calamities strike or a servant feels a lack of success, he should not blame destiny, but rather blame himself and re-evaluate his relationship with God, for no affliction descends except due to a sin, and none is removed except through repentance. Divorce should not be resorted to except after all means of reconciliation have become impossible.
