What is the ruling on renting land for cultivation or grazing for money?

Leasing land for cultivation is permissible if the contract adheres to Islamic regulations. As for leasing it for grazing, it is permissible according to the majority of scholars, contrary to the Hanafis, who do not permit leasing it for grazing if the pasture is the primary objective. Instead, the land is leased, and then the lessee is permitted to utilize the fodder within it, because the benefit from the fodder comes from its consumption, and this does not align with ijarah (leasing), which requires the utilization of the usufruct while the leased item itself remains. In contrast, non-Hanafis permit contracting for both the land and the fodder together, with the fodder being included subordinately.
