What is the authenticity of what was attributed to Ibn Taymiyyah regarding anthropomorphism, namely his saying, when mentioning the hadith of descent: "like this descent of mine," and was this transmitted from Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani in "Al-Durar Al-Kaminah"?

Allah descends every night to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, saying: "Who will call upon Me that I may answer him? Who will ask of Me that I may give him? Who will seek My forgiveness that I may forgive him?" Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar reported that a group of Sheikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah’s opponents accused him of tashbih (resemblance) and tajsim (corporeality) by claiming he said: "Allah descends every night to the lowest heaven just as I am descending now," and that he descended two steps from the minbar. This narration is incorrect, and refuting it with evidence and circumstantial indicators proves the falsity of the incident, as Ibn Taymiyyah was imprisoned at the time Ibn Battuta entered Damascus. Furthermore, his books absolve him from the doctrine of tashbih, as he affirms Allah's attributes as befits Him, without kayf (modality) or tamthil (likening).
