Is relinquishing my right to reclaim what was stolen from me by non-Muslims, a right affirmed by a court ruling in my favor, considered a reward [from God]?

The Sharia encourages pardoning the rights of creation absolutely. Ibn Taymiyyah mentioned that whenever the Quran mentioned human rights, it always exhorted to pardon them. This includes a Muslim's pardon of a disbeliever and forgiving them for stolen property and the like. The Holy Quran commanded pardoning and overlooking the People of the Book, such as in His saying, "So pardon them and overlook. Indeed, Allah loves the doers of good" (Al-Ma'idah: 13). The interpretation of this verse indicates that pardoning a treacherous disbeliever is an act of goodness. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, applied this principle, as he pardoned the Jewish woman who bewitched him and did not confront the man who tied the knots for him, and he pardoned the Jewish woman who poisoned him.
