ما هي أحكام لباس المرأة في فترة حدادها على زوجها، خاصة فيما يتعلق بالتخفيف منه عند وجود المحارم أو النساء، وهل يجب عليها تغطية يديها، وما حكم خروجها من المنزل، وهل يوجد وقت محدد للاستحمام، وما هي الأمور التي تمتنع عنها، وذلك وفقًا للمذهب المالكي؟

A woman whose husband has passed away must observe iddah (waiting period) by refraining from adornment, which is an agreed-upon matter. This iddah involves avoiding jewelry, dyeing (hair or clothes), kohl, henna, dyed and colorful clothes, and anything considered an adornment. She is permitted to maintain cleanliness and bathe, as long as it does not involve adornment or perfume. An exception for perfume is made for what is needed when performing ghusl (ritual bath) after menstruation to prevent unpleasant odors.

Regarding leaving the house, the woman observing iddah must spend the night in her home and should not leave except for a valid excuse or a necessary matter that no one else can attend to. She is permitted to go out during the day to fulfill her needs, but it is preferable for her not to be overtaken by sunset except in her home. She is not allowed to spend the night outside her home. It is not permissible for her to move from her house unless there is fear or a similar reason, in which case she resides where she moved until her iddah period ends.

Iddah does not affect her mixing with people or her interactions with them, nor does it alter the rules of awrah (intimate parts) for a woman with her mahram (unmarriageable kin) and non-mahram relatives.
