Was the prayer of the previous prophets, including Moses, Jesus, and Abraham, peace be upon them, similar to our prayer? And did they recite the Tashahhud and send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad?

The prayer was legislated for all prophets, as mentioned by Imam Muhammad ibn Nasr al-Marwazi, and that the prophets before Muhammad, peace be upon him, used to perform the five daily prayers. This is substantiated by the Hadith of Gabriel, who led the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, in prayer at the Kaaba, and said to him: "This is your time and the time of the prophets before you." The detailed manner of their prayer is not known, but some aspects of it are known, such as the prohibition of looking around. The prayer of the Ummah of Muhammad has been uniquely distinguished by the permissibility of performing it anywhere, based on the Prophet's saying, peace be upon him: "The earth has been made for me a place of prostration and a means of purification." As for the manner of the Tashahhud and sending blessings upon the Prophet in their prayers, that is something we do not know. And our saying in the Tashahhud: "as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim" does not mean that previous nations prayed like our prayer; rather, it indicates that Allah sent blessings upon Ibrahim and his family.
