What is the ruling on working in a hotel where there are foreigners carrying alcoholic beverages, knowing that the nature of the work is only to carry bags, and is the money earned lawful?

This work must be abandoned because it involves carrying alcoholic beverages, which is a major sin. "Allah has cursed alcohol and its drinker, its server, its seller, its buyer, its presser, the one for whom it is pressed, its carrier, and the one to whom it is carried." Working in hotels where forbidden acts are committed is also unlawful.

As for tips (Baqsheesh): 1. If it is part of an agreement with the employer, there is no objection. 2. If it is customary in the profession and the employer is content with it, there is no objection. 3. If there is no agreement or custom, it is considered among the forbidden "gifts to workers," based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "What is wrong with a worker whom we send out, then he comes and says, 'This is for you, and this was given to me as a gift'? Why did he not sit in his mother's or father's house and see if anything would be gifted to him?"

One must hasten to abandon this work. "And whoever fears Allah, He will make for him a way out and provide for him from where he does not expect."
