Why do we not say that Allah Almighty created His Speech (the Qur’an), even though words result from an act, just as creations result from creation?

The Quran is the Word of Allah, and it is an attribute of His, not a creation. For speech is an attribute of the speaker, and the speech of Allah is not something that exists independently, separate from the Speaker; rather, it is an attribute subsisting in Him.

Among the proofs for this are: 1. The Quran is an attribute of Allah, and whatever is an attribute of Allah is not created, unlike what is added to Him for honorific purposes, such as "the she-camel of Allah" (Naqat Allah) and "the House of Allah" (Bayt Allah). 2. Allah distinguished between creation and command in His saying: (أَلَا لَهُ الْخَلْقُ وَالْأَمْرُ - Unquestionably, His is the creation and the command), so creation is for creatures and command is for His speech, Glorified be He. 3. His saying: (إِنَّمَا قَوْلُنَا لِشَيْءٍ إِذَا أَرَدْنَاهُ أَنْ نَقُولَ لَهُ كُنْ فَيَكُونُ - Indeed, Our word to a thing when We intend it is only that We say to it, "Be," and it is), so "Be" (kun) is a speech preceding creation, and if it were created, it would need another "Be" for its creation, which is an invalid infinite regress. 4. His saying: (وَلَكِنْ حَقَّ الْقَوْلُ مِنِّي لَأَمْلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ - But the word from Me has come to pass: I will surely fill Hell), for what is from Allah is not created. 5. His saying: (وَلَوْ أَنَّمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ مِنْ شَجَرَةٍ أَقْلَامٌ وَالْبَحْرُ يَمُدُّهُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ سَبْعَةُ أَبْحُرٍ مَا نَفِدَتْ كَلِمَاتُ اللَّهِ - And if whatever trees upon the earth were pens and the sea [were ink], replenished thereafter by seven [more] seas, the Words of Allah would not be exhausted), for creatures perish while the Words of Allah do not.

The people of the Sunnah have unanimously agreed that the Word of Allah is uncreated, and that whoever says it is created has committed disbelief.
