Who was the father of the two girls, one of whom Musa married?

There is no authentic hadith that specifies the identity of the fathers of the two girls mentioned in the story of Musa (عليه السلام) in Surat Al-Qasas. Ibn Jarir said: "This is something whose knowledge cannot be attained except through a report, and there is no report concerning it whose authority is binding. Therefore, no statement regarding it is more correct than what Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, stated: 'And he found besides them two women keeping back [their flocks]'" [Quran 28:23].
