It is stated in Tafsir al-Baghawi, Sharh al-Ayni, and Al-Kamil by Ibn al-Athir that the name of Musa's wife is "Safura bint Shu'ayb." Some mentioned other names such as "Safura," "Safuriya," or "Safurah." As for the meaning of the word, no one has commented on it. It is mentioned in Al-Qamus al-Muhit that it is the name of Shu'ayb's daughter. It was also noted that scholars differ regarding the identity of Musa's wife's father, whether he was Shu'ayb the Prophet or a righteous man. Ibn Kathir and Al-Sa'di preferred the view that he was not Shu'ayb the Prophet.
