What is the ruling regarding a husband who engages in illicit relationships online, despite being known for his piety and righteousness, especially given that his wife cannot confront him for fear of the impact on their children and due to her trust in him?

The wife is advised to supplicate for the reformation of her husband and to persistently counsel him with a calm and gentle approach, explaining to him the impermissibility and ugliness of his actions. She should remind him of the story of the young man who sought permission from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, to commit fornication, and warn him of the disgrace and shame that his behavior might bring upon his family. She should also fill her husband's free time with what is beneficial and useful, and avoid seeking out his faults, as this might harm her. If she confirms his commission of an abomination, she should remind him of its legal ruling and advise him to abandon it. If he insists, she is not held accountable after forbidding him and clarifying the religious ruling to him.
