It is forbidden to draw living beings in their entirety, unless the image is incomplete in a way that life cannot be sustained within it, such as half-portraits or images with the head cut off. So, if what is removed from the image is something without which life cannot remain, such as the chest or abdomen, or if the head is separate, then it does not fall under the prohibition. However, if what is cut off does not remove life, such as an eye or a hand, then it does fall under the prohibition. Similarly, if a body is drawn without a head, or a head without a body, it is permissible. As for digital images captured by a camera or found online, there is no prohibition in them unless they are printed. Modifying digital images of living beings is considered a forbidden drawing if the image is complete. Drawing images using artificial intelligence takes the ruling of manual drawing; if it is of a complete living being, it is forbidden, and if it is incomplete, it is permissible.
