Is it permissible to adopt the view of the Malikis that it is not obligatory for a woman with perpetual discharge to perform ablution for every prayer, knowing that my condition with vaginal discharge is as described in "Al-Insaf": "And even if the discharge is frequent, and varies in occurring earlier or later, and in scarcity or abundance, and is present sometimes and absent other times, and she does not have a consistent pattern of continuous flow, nor of interruption; then this is like one whose habit is continuous flow according to the companions," and that performing ablution for every prayer is difficult for me?

The Maliki school divides سلس (incontinence/constant discharge) into four categories:

1. It is constant and does not cease: In this case, neither wudu' (ablution) nor its renewal is obligatory or recommended.

2. Its constancy is greater than its cessation: In this case, renewing wudu' is recommended, unless it causes hardship.

3. Its occurrence and cessation are equal: There are two opinions regarding the obligation and recommendation of wudu' in this case, but the well-known opinion is that it is not obligatory.

4. Its cessation is greater than its constancy: In this case, the well-known opinion is that renewing wudu' is obligatory.

Based on this, wudu' for سلس is not obligatory except in one specific case, according to the well-known opinion. It is permissible for the questioner to follow the Maliki school in this matter, as it is permissible for a layperson to follow any of the recognized schools of thought among the people of knowledge.
