Must the wife seek her husband's permission to leave her family's home during a period of separation, given that he does not provide for her or their children, and she needs to go out to attend her university classes?

A woman is not permitted to leave the house without her husband's permission, whether for studies or other reasons, unless she stipulated this condition to him before marriage. The husband is obligated to provide for his wife and children. If he fails to do so, his wife is permitted to leave without his permission. If the wife leaves her husband's house without a legitimate Sharia reason, her right to financial support (nafaqah) is forfeited, while the children's financial support remains obligatory upon the husband.
