It is obligatory for the wife to obey her husband if he commands her to cover her face in front of non- men. It is not permissible for her to uncover her face in front of them if she is able to cover it by means that do not cause her harm. However, if covering it causes her harm, then uncovering it is permissible at that time to the extent of the necessity.
