Is it permissible for a businessman who trades in construction materials to supply churches with some materials to complete their construction?

It is not permissible to aid polytheists in their polytheism, for it is an affirmation of their polytheistic and infidel actions, an alliance with them, and a deficiency in the obligatory enmity and renunciation. Allah Almighty has commanded cooperation in righteousness and piety and forbidden cooperation in sin and aggression. Aiding a non-Muslim in polytheism is worse than aiding a Muslim in disobedience. Umar ibn al-Khattab prohibited the construction or renovation of churches. The imams forbade a Muslim from hiring himself out for work on churches, or from renting or selling anything used therein, or from working on anything that aids polytheism, such as herding pigs or pressing wine. Building and renovating churches is forbidden by consensus, whether the doer is Muslim or infidel. The Permanent Committee has issued a fatwa stating that it is not permissible for a Muslim to build a church or any non-Islamic place of worship, and Sheikh Salih Al-Fawzan considered working in churches and shrines to be unlawful gain, and that repentance and giving charity from the earned money are obligatory.
