Is it true that Abu Ayyub al-Ansari went out to conquer Constantinople after hearing the Prophetic hadith: "What a blessed leader is its leader," and is this hadith weak?

The authenticity of the hadith, "Indeed, Constantinople will be conquered. How excellent the commander who will conquer it, and how excellent the army that will conquer it," is disputed. It has not been definitively established that Abu Ayyub al-Ansari set out specifically to attain this virtue; rather, like other Companions, he fought to elevate the word of Allah. What is established is that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The first army from my nation to raid the city of Caesar will be forgiven," and its city is Constantinople. Abu Ayyub al-Ansari participated in the first army that raided it, led by Yazid ibn Mu'awiya in the year 52 AH, and he died and was buried beneath its walls.
