What is your advice to a girl who is convinced of Islam but fears openly declaring her Islam and committing to it due to her fear of her family and society, and the difficulties that may arise from that in marriage?
A girl must hasten to embrace Islam by uttering the two testimonies of faith. Religion does not burden a soul beyond its capacity. If she fears harm from her family, she may temporarily conceal her Islam. She should forgo obligations she cannot perform, such as wearing the , and pray secretly, never abandoning prayer. She should fast if she is able, breaking her fast if she fears her Islam will be discovered, and then make up for it later. She must refuse marriage to a non-Muslim, giving suitable reasons, while awaiting relief from Allah. It is not permissible to remain in disbelief or delay embracing Islam for any excuse. Rather, she must enter Islam and do what she can, and steel herself for sacrifice in the path of her religion, for many righteous women have sacrificed for their faith.
