Is a Christian woman who converts to Islam and uncovers her hair out of fear of her family excused?

It is permissible for her to conceal her faith if she fears harm, provided she does not neglect her obligatory duties and strives to marry a righteous Muslim man.

It is not permissible for her to go out without a hijab, as it is an obligation. If she fears harm by wearing the hijab, then she should stay in her home and not go out except for necessity, revealing only what is necessary, and then returning. Emigration from non-Muslim lands may become obligatory for one who cannot openly practice the rituals of their religion or fears temptation.
