Is it permissible to pray Jumu'ah (Friday prayer) according to the Hanafi school or any other school of thought in a village where the number of Shafi'i congregants is not complete, and there is no police station or judge available, and is it obligatory to repeat the Dhuhr prayer after the Jumu'ah prayer in this case?

Scholars have differed regarding the required number for establishing Friday prayer. The Shafi'is and Hanbalis stipulated forty men, while the Malikis stipulated twelve men excluding the Imam, and the Hanafis stipulated three men besides the Imam. Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah preferred the validity of Jumu'ah with three men, explaining that it is illogical for it to be obligatory upon them and then not valid from them. There is no harm in adopting any of these recognized schools of thought.
