Is it permissible for a man to distribute his wealth among his children during his lifetime, with the male receiving the share of two females, and are the sons sinful if they accept this division in the event that it is not permissible?

If the distribution is intended to distinguish shares for children to be executed after death, then it is invalid, because it is either a bequest to an heir, which is not permissible unless approved by the heirs, or an inheritance before death.

However, if the children own the wealth and take possession of it during the father's lifetime, there is no harm in it, provided there is equality among them. Scholars differed on the nature of this equality: some said "to the male, like the share of two females," while others said equality between male and female, which is the more apparent view based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Be equal among your children in giving; if I were to prefer anyone, I would have preferred women." They also differed on whether this equality is obligatory or recommended.
