What should one do who forgot part of a verse from a surah he recited in prayer and remembered it after bowing, or forgot the completion of a verse he stopped at?

If a worshiper makes a mistake in recitation (forgets a verse, adds a verse, merges a verse, and so on) and then remembers it after bowing (rukūʿ), nothing is required of him, and he completes his prayer. If he forgets a verse or gets confused by it, and no one prompts him while he is the Imam, he has the choice to either bow or move to another verse or surah. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, clarified the importance of prompting the Imam during prayer when he makes a mistake. However, the follower should not rush to prompt, and the Imam should not force them to prompt by repeating the verse or remaining silent.
