What should I do if I make a mistake while reciting a verse or don't know its continuation during prayer? Should I perform the prostration of forgetfulness (sujood as-sahw)?

If you make a mistake in recitation or do not know the rest of the verse, move on to another one or bow (perform rukoo'), and you are not required to perform the prostration of forgetfulness (sujood as-sahw). This is because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not perform the prostration of forgetfulness when his recitation became confused. And a mistake in recitation does not entail a change in the form of the prayer.
