Is it permissible to sell a property bequeathed as a dwelling for the wife and her children, after the wife's death and the children's independence from it, and to distribute its value with the male receiving the equivalent of two females' shares?

You must refer to the Sharia court to ascertain whether it is a waqf (endowment) or a will. A will is for the legatee, and a father's will of real estate to his wife and children is not executed except with the consent of all heirs. If they agree, the property becomes their possession to dispose of. As for a waqf, it is not to be sold unless its benefits cease, and its price is to be invested in another property and cannot be divided. If the waqf ceases due to the death of those for whom it was endowed, it reverts to the heirs of the endower; it is also said that its proceeds should be spent on charitable deeds.
