Is it permissible to induce menstruation in Ramadan, even if it is possible not to induce it?

If a woman needs to take medication to induce menstruation, either because it does not occur naturally without it or because it is irregular, there is no harm in her doing so, provided the medication is permissible and does not cause harm. If menstruation begins after taking the medication, she should refrain from prayer and fasting, and she must make up the fasts but not the prayers.

It is forbidden for a woman to intentionally take this medication during Ramadan or close to it with the intention of breaking her fast.
