Is wishing for something that has been forbidden in all previous divine laws considered one of the nullifiers of Islam, such as saying, "Oh, if only fornication were permissible"?

Considering unlawful what is definitively forbidden in Islam negates one's Islam. However, merely wishing for it to be permissible does not negate one's Islam, though it indicates a deficiency in faith, based on the hadith: "None of you truly believes until his desires are in accordance with what I have brought." This hadith is sound in meaning, and it also indicates the lack of insight of the one who wishes for such things. For instance, fornication has immense harms for both the individual and society.
