Is what I do regarding the women's salon – such as recruiting employees, printing papers and statements, and handing over salaries – considered unlawful, knowing that I do not receive payment for it and cannot refuse the employer's request for fear of his anger, and knowing that women's salons are unlawful?

Opening and working in beauty salons is originally permissible. However, it may become forbidden depending on the details mentioned in the fatwas. In such a case, it is not permissible to work in it or to assist in it, due to Allah's saying: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression." Assisting in disobedience is absolutely forbidden, whether with money or without.

The employer should be invited with a good approach to clarify the impermissibility of opening a salon in an environment where immodest display (tabarruj) is prevalent. If they refuse, then they should exempt you from tasks related to that. One should rely on Allah and not fear speaking the truth, for Allah is the Provider and sufficient for the righteous. "Whoever seeks Allah's pleasure by incurring people's displeasure, Allah will suffice him against people's needs." As for salons that are permissible, there is no harm in working in them, whether for compensation or without.
