Is it true that the Prophet ﷺ swam in a well at his maternal uncles' house in Madinah when he was young?

The story concerning the Prophet's swimming in his youth is not authentic, as its reliability rests upon al-Waqidi, who is accused of fabrication, and its chains of transmission include weak and unknown narrators. However, the inauthenticity of the story as a narration does not negate the possibility of the Prophet having swum in his childhood. It has been authentically reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) encouraged learning to swim due to its benefits.
