Is it permissible to take pills to prevent menstruation in Ramadan? Does removing an IUD that causes irregular periods alleviate hardship? Is it impermissible to insert an IUD?

If you are not compelled to use an IUD, then remove it so that your prayer and fasting may be sound. There is no harm in taking medication to prevent menstruation during Ramadan, but it is better to avoid it, because menstruation is something Allah decreed upon the daughters of Adam, and the Muslim woman worships Allah by abstaining [from prayer and fasting] during menstruation. She is rewarded in both situations.
