Will the questioner enter Hell, bear a burden of sin, or be disobedient to her father, given her intense hatred for him due to the psychological and material harm and ill-treatment he inflicted upon her and her family?
If the father is unjust and abusive, his right upon his child does not fall. Therefore, it is obligatory to honor the father to the best of one's ability, without causing harm. Among the greatest acts of honoring him is enjoining him to good and forbidding him from evil with gentleness and good manners. If the child fulfills what is obligatory upon him in terms of honoring, then his dislike for him will not harm him, but he should not surrender to feelings of hatred towards him.
