Is the repentance of one who has committed a sin and then repented accepted, and are their good deeds, both preceding and subsequent to the sin, rendered void, and is it obligatory to seek a divorce due to feelings of regret over a past sin?

It is easy for a repentant woman to deal with her situation. She should feel the greatness of her Lord's forgiveness and His vast pardon, avoid despair and despondency concerning Allah's mercy, rid herself of satanic whispers, and resume her life with her husband naturally, never thinking of divorce. As for one who contemplates committing a sin and then repenting, his repentance will not be accepted if he intends to return to the sin. Rather, one of the conditions of repentance is the firm resolve not to return to the sin. Allah accepts the repentance of His servant as long as he has not gasped his last breath.
