The answer

Words breathed into water have a positive effect if they are lawful words (Shar'i) and a negative effect if they are polytheistic words (shirkiyyah). There is no harm in lawful (Islamic incantation) if three conditions are met: that it is performed with the names of Allah, His words, His attributes, or what has been authentically reported from the Messenger; that it is in the Arabic language or a language whose meaning is understood; and that one believes it does not affect by itself but by the decree of Allah. If these conditions are not met, then it is impermissible and considered minor , and it may lead to major Shirk, which expels one from the fold of Islam. Therefore, one must repent from repeating unlawful words and reading articles that teach magic.
