Is the husband or the wife sinful when the wife removes her hijab willingly, and the husband tells her: "Do what you want without making me bear your sin"?

The husband must command his wife to do what Allah has obligated upon her and forbid her from what He has prohibited, because he has the right of guardianship over her. This guardianship includes obligating her to perform religious duties and avoid prohibitions, in fulfillment of the Almighty's saying: "Men are guardians over women because Allah has made some of them to excel others and because they spend out of their property." The husband is not absolved of sin if he allows his wife to commit forbidden acts. Rather, he must compel her to wear the hijab and prevent her from evil by every legitimate means, for he is responsible for her, in fulfillment of the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Indeed, all of you are guardians, and all of you are responsible for your charges... And a man is a guardian over the people of his household and is responsible for them."
