Does loving a football player and passionately desiring a woman affect the corruption of the heart, the loss of pleasure in acts of worship, and the desire to seek knowledge? Is this love considered forbidden or mere infatuation, especially given that the rights of Allah are prioritized over it?

Intense love, reaching the level of adoration ('ishq), poses a great danger to one's religion and to the interests of both this world and the hereafter. Exaggeration in love is blameworthy, even if the love itself is permissible. It is obligatory that a believer's love be for Allah and in Allah, and that they bestow their love upon the people of faith and obedience, not upon those given to amusement and play.
