How can one get rid of a wife who claims to be religious but is dissolute and flirts with men, given the impossibility of legally divorcing her and the desire for a righteous wife?

If it is proven that the wife has committed forbidden acts and has been negligent in her interactions with men, divorcing her is recommended and may even become obligatory. If the wife is divorced and her waiting period (iddah) has ended, she must be given her rights, and these become a debt owed by the impecunious husband. If the wife repents and shows signs of righteousness, there is no impediment to her return. However, if she reverts to suspicious behavior thereafter, it is permissible to pressure her to seek khul' (divorce at her initiative) in exchange for forfeiting all or part of her rights.
